About Project

The project involves the construction of a sewage treatment plant for the treatment of wastewater on the territory of the resort area. The plant will provide a high level of water treatment that meets the environmental standards. This will help preserve natural resources and support sustainable development in the region.

About Community

The Poliana territorial community is a modern, hospitable, and open-minded community that combines the natural beauty of Transcarpathia, healing mineral springs, and a dynamic economy. We are proud to be one of the leaders in the region's tourism industry: our resorts welcome thousands of vacationers from Ukraine and abroad every year, and our developed infrastructure creates new jobs and stable budget revenues. Thanks to this, we actively invest in education, sports, e-governance, and support youth initiatives.

General Information

The Zakarpattia region, especially its mountainous regions, is characterized by the absence of large industrial enterprises. For this reason, the level of environmental pollution by industrial waste is low. Along with this, the main pollutants of rivers and surface waters are domestic wastewater. Studies in 2022-23 record an increase in the level of pollution by organic and inorganic compounds, especially within settlements and downstream of rivers, due to the ingress of domestic wastewater into the watercourse. The cause of the problem is the almost complete absence of treatment facilities in rural areas.
