About Project

The project aims to improve the environmental situation through the new construction of a solid waste sorting station to reduce the negative impact of waste on the environment. Number of users: 50 thousand. Asset holder: Municipal Enterprise. Availability of Design and Estimate Documentation (DED): Yes. Expected implementation period: 2 years.

About Community

Chornobaivka village territorial community is located between the city of Kherson and Mykolaiv region, and has road, rail, and air connections, with a total population of over 7,300 residents. It includes 9 villages and one urban-type settlement. Since May 2023, the village of Posad-Pokrovske has been included in the pilot project "Build Back Better" initiated by the President of Ukraine to restore the village. After 9 months of occupation by russian troops, the territory of the Chornobaivka community was demined, critical infrastructure and socially important facilities were restored. Social infrastructure includes 4 general education institutions, 4 kindergartens, 1 extracurricular institution, 5 outpatient clinics and paramedic stations, and over 10 sports facilities.

General Information

It is planned to create a comprehensive waste management system for communities in the Kherson district of the Kherson region, which will allow: Sort solid household waste; Shred plastic and branches; Compost organic waste; Yard waste collection; Reduce the amount of waste in landfills.
