About Project
About Community
Trostyanets community is one of the most active and recovery-focused communities in the Sumy region, with a total population of over 26,942 residents. It includes the city of Trostyanets and 37 villages, forming a compact but strategically important community in northern Ukraine, located just 60 km from Sumy and close to the border with the Poltava and Kharkiv regions. The community serves as a logistical and industrial hub, situated along the national highway N12 (Sumy–Poltava) and a major railway line. In recent years, Trostyanets has become a symbol of resilience: following occupation and destruction in 2022, it has prioritized energy independence, smart infrastructure, and social cohesion in its recovery efforts.
