About Project

The project involves the reconstruction of the municipal sewage treatment facilities with a capacity of 9,600 m³/day, located at 164 Yarkivska Street, Konotop. The reconstruction includes the construction of a new wastewater treatment line: inlet chamber, mechanical treatment building, aeration tanks, sludge pumping station, blower station, laboratory, installation of new networks, etc.

About Community

Konotop is one of the largest transport centers of Sumy region with developed production, trade and cultural potential. Konotop is a city of Cossack glory. The second largest city in the region by population of 80 thousand people with economically active, qualified labor resources. The distance to the capital of Ukraine is 258 km, to the border with the aggressor — 70 km. The community has a powerful educational base and a developed network of social and cultural institutions: 39 educational institutions, 5 institutions of higher and vocational education, 12 cultural institutions, 3 institutions of social protection, 2 hospitals. The community operates municipal ecological transport — a tram. Konotop is a participant in leading European initiatives on sustainable development and green transition.

General Information

Environmental: Improved wastewater treatment quality to meet global standards. Improve the ecological safety of the facility by preventing the discharge of untreated sewage into the Ezuch River. Economic: Decrease in electricity consumption by 15%. Reduction in operational and maintenance costs of key technological units and equipment. Social: Improvement in the quality and stability of wastewater reception and treatment services for existing subscribers.
