About Community
The Sumy City Territorial Community is the largest community in the Sumy region (351.71 km²), with its center in the city of Sumy (95.39 km²), which is also the administrative center of the region. The community has a population of 263,000 people, including more than 34,000 internally displaced persons. The community possesses a developed social and engineering infrastructure: more than 100 educational institutions, medical facilities, and networks for water supply, sewage, heat supply, and transport — all of which require modernization. In response to current challenges, the community is implementing a sustainable development policy focused on increasing energy efficiency and climate resilience, carrying out the Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plan (SECAP).
