The bridge is located along Kiltseva Street, which is the main street of regional significance, which coincides with the regional road (R-12) and is a bypass for transit freight traffic. The bridge provided the passage of municipal vehicles for transporting garbage to the Masany solid waste landfill. During the hostilities, the bridge was completely destroyed.

Chernihiv is one of the most ancient cities in Ukraine with 1300-years history and historical monuments of the 10-18th centuries preserved. Regional center in the north of Ukraine, with area 78.6 km², 150 km from Kyiv. Population is 285,000. In 2022 the city was heavily ruined because of war. Chernihiv rightfully is one of the leaders of short and middle term recovery.

The reconstruction of the bridge will allow the movement of large and heavy vehicles outside the city limits. The main parameters of the overpass: bridge length — 34.26 m, bridge width — 12.5 m, number of lanes — 4.
