New construction of a rehabilitation centre in Zhytomyr

Center for comprehensive rehabilitation of persons with disabilities and injuries, with accommodation: a 120-bed inpatient ward (70 rooms: 50 double rooms and 20 single rooms with inclusive bathrooms); outpatient reception for 100 patients daily. Main areas of focus: orthopedics, neurology, cardiology.

Zhytomyr City Territorial Community. Administrative centre — Zhytomyr. Area of the community — 93.4 km². Population — 265,126. The community is located on the border of the Polissya and forest-steppe zones in the Korostyshiv natural region of the Zhytomyr Polissya with a flat relief. Zhytomyr is an important transport hub in Ukraine, located on the III Pan-European Corridor connecting Spain, France, Germany, Poland, and Ukraine. There are about 100 major industrial enterprises working in the city of Zhytomyr. The community has 83 educational institutions, including extracurricular education, 9 cultural institutions, 5 medical institutions, and 1 social protection institution.

The implementation of the project will ensure: high-quality and accessible rehabilitation assistance for more than 200 patients every day; restoration of working capacity, autonomy and psycho-emotional state of persons with disabilities, injuries or chronic diseases; integration of veterans, IDPs and other vulnerable groups into full social life; a reduction in the burden on hospitals and secondary healthcare facilities; an upgrade of the region's medical infrastructure to modern standards.
