Capital repair of the surgical department at Zhmerynka Central District Hospital

The project aims to modernize the surgical department of a cluster hospital, improving conditions for patients, staff, and visitors. It ensures comfort, accessibility, and better care for all patients, including 40-45 military personnel treated daily. The hospital serves over 60,000 residents of the Zhmerynka district as a secondary care cluster facility. The project will enhance the quality of medical services in the region.

Zhmerynka Urban Territorial Community is the largest in Vinnytsia region after the regional center, with a population of over 48,310 and covering an area of 531 km². It encompasses the city of Zhmerynka, the urban-type settlement of Brailiv, and 32 villages. The community is well-developed in the fields of education, healthcare, culture, and sports. There are 10 lyceums, 16 kindergartens, 3 hospitals and medical centers, as well as numerous cultural institutions and amateur groups operating within the community. Zhmerynka is a key railway hub on pan-European transport corridors, making the community strategically important for the region. During the war, the community provided shelter to over 3,800 internally displaced persons and maintains active infrastructure and social initiatives.

The project will enable: High-quality surgical and trauma care for civilians and military personnel. Improve conditions for planned and emergency surgeries, rehabilitation, and postoperative care. Adoption of modern treatment methods. The renovation will: Ensure comfortable treatment and rehabilitation for over 2,000 patients annually. Provide full accessibility for people with disabilities and limited mobility.
