The project aims to ensure reliable drinking water access for Ladyzhyn residents by upgrading the first lift pumping and filtration stations – the key elements of the city's water supply system.

About Community

Ladyzhyn City Territorial Community includes Ladyzhyn City and 5 surrounding settlements. Area: 124.5 km². Population: 21,467 (including 2,325 IDPs). 1st Community in Vinnytsia region in terms of per capita production output. Ladyzhyn community is a signatory of the EU's Covenant of Mayors initiative and is actively implementing the principles of sustainable energy development and local climate action. Ladyzhyn community has experience in international cooperation, including collaboration with global foundations.

General Information

Key Highlights: The facility was built over 50 years ago and was formerly owned by the local thermal power plant. Today the system's intake capacity is critically low due to aging equipment and declining river levels caused by climate change. The project will restore reliable access to drinking water for over 17,000 residents of Ladyzhyn. Ensuring water supply to all social infrastructure, including 4 city schools, 6 kindergartens, a hospital, a rehabilitation center, and other public facilities. Provision of year-round water access and mitigation of environmental damage to local aquatic ecosystems.
