"Ecoinfrastructure of the Future" Project

Comprehensive infrastructure project that combines the reconstruction of wastewater treatment facilities, the introduction of biogas technologies, and the construction of a solar power plant. Project Aim: achievement of climate neutrality, energy independence, rational use of resources and improvement of environmental quality. Project Implementation Terms: 24 months.

Myrhorod urban territorial community is one of the key communities in Poltava Regions that combines historical heritage and modern development. It includes the town of Myrhorod and 36 villages, the total number of population is over 48,000 persons. Myrhorod is a resort of national importance and an international tourist center thanks to its unique mineral waters. The favourable location in the center of Ukraine promotes the development of industry, agribusiness, tourism and recreation. The community has a well-developed social infrastructure, including 15 comprehensive education institutions, 6 kindergartens, 3 out-of-school institutions, 4 vocational colleges, 1 higher educational institution, 2 medical establishments and almost 80 sport facilities, including stadiums, playgrounds, sports schools and gyms. The cultural life of the community is supported by 32 cultural institutions, including libraries, cultural centers, museums and creative centers.

PROJECT FUNCTIONS: The project will ensure the creation of a comprehensive ecoinfrastructure in the Myrhorod community that will guarantee natural resources purity, cost savings, renewable energy and a favourable climate for living and investing. The project will help strengthen the local economy, protect the environment, increase the community's energy independence, and open the way for the implementation of other innovative environmental projects. IRR: 10-12%. Payback period: 7 years. PI: 1.15-1.18. NPV: €1.3-1.5 million.
