About Project

The project involves the reconstruction and modernization of water supply and waste water disposal systems in Poltava to ensure reliable, uninterrupted access to basic housing and communal services for 312,000 community residents, including 47,000 internally displaced persons, businesses and social and critical infrastructure facilities.

About Community

Poltava Territorial Community is one of the largest in central Ukraine. It unites the city of Poltava, the administrative center of the region, as well as 55 surrounding villages that joined the community after decentralization reform in 2021. The total population of the community exceeds 312,000 residents, including more than 47,000 internally displaced persons. There are about 2,500 companies registered in Poltava, operating in such key industries as agriculture and industry, mechanical engineering, oil and gas, food industry, textile industry, medicine, and logistics. The social infrastructure of the community is represented by 64 secondary education institutions, where more than 32 thousand school students study, 47 pre-school education institutions (more than 7.5 thousand children), 6 higher education institutions, where more than 28,000 students study, an extensive healthcare system, as well as 20 museums, a theatre, a philharmonic society, and an international art gallery.
